The Cottage at Royal Terrace is a new restaurant in the city centre of Edinburgh in the most beautiful and unique building with communal dining.

You’ll find us tucked away in the greenery of 1 Royal Terrace Gardens access from London Road (EH7 5DX what three words ///nature.finest.spike).

Look for the garden path leading to our historic stone cottage—we’re just a short, scenic walk from the East End of Princes Street and the Edinburgh Playhouse.

Originally designed by William Playfair in 1836, Royal Terrace Gardens was built as a cottage to house the resident gardener.

Now, it’s our communal dining room where we deliver menus with a strong focus on local sourcing and finishing touches from our very own kitchen garden.
