Who we are

Tucked away in the Royal Terrace Gardens, The Cottage is a 19th-century sanctuary designed by William Playfair. Once the home of the gardens' keeper, it is now a space filled with life, warmth, and the very best of Scotland’s larder.

We believe in the honest beauty of a well-executed dish, led by the seasonality of our garden.

The Cottage is directed by Peter Adshead, whose career spans Michelin-starred dining rooms and Edinburgh’s premier 5-star hotels.
